EXPERIENCE: Throughout my career, I have embraced a diverse range of roles, including two decades as a childcare educator, my current position as a registered nurse specializing in paediatrics, and six years of experience in NDIS support work. In this capacity, I have collaborated closely with participants to help them achieve their personal goals, fostering their growth and independence. My extensive background in paediatric care and mental health has equipped me to support individuals facing challenges such as Pathological Demand Avoidance (PDA), Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), bipolar disorder, and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). The skills I have acquired as a nurse have further enhanced my ability to provide effective support. My experience in the fast-paced nursing environment has honed my capacity to learn quickly and adapt to new challenges, making me well-suited for the role of a support worker. The combination of my clinical knowledge and hands-on experience allows me to approach each situation with empathy and understanding, ensuring that I can meet the unique needs of those I support.
