ABOUT ME:

Hi, I’m Lauren I am 28 and have recently relocated from Perth to Brisbane. My passion for animals is evident as I am a proud dog owner, caring for both a lively sausage dog and a gentle golden retriever. I find joy in various outdoor activities, whether it’s exploring nature, enjoying a day at the beach, or visiting theme parks. Additionally, I appreciate the simple pleasures of life, such as watching movies, shopping, and maintaining a clean and organized environment. I have a vibrant and energetic personality thriving on adventure and I often seek out new experiences that allow me to connect with others. My kindness and enthusiasm for life drive me to engage in activities that not only bring joy to myself but also to those around me. EXPIERENCE:

Since the conclusion of 2022, I have dedicated myself to the role of a support worker, a position that has brought me immense joy and fulfillment. My passion for assisting individuals in need drives me to embrace challenges enthusiastically, particularly in the realm of building meaningful connections with those I support. My experience encompasses a wide range of complex needs, including working with children supported by the Department of Child Protection (DCP) who faced significant obstacles. I have developed a strong proficiency in managing complex behaviours and mental health issues, always prioritizing a person-centred approach that respects the unique circumstances of each individual. My commitment to this role is unwavering, as I strive to provide the highest quality of care and support. Throughout my career, I have gained extensive experience in various areas, including manual handling, 24-hour respite care, and medication management. I have worked with individuals who are non-verbal, as well as those with conditions such as epilepsy, ADHD, and autism spectrum disorder (ASD). My background in community service and mental health, combined with my experience in physiotherapy, has equipped me to offer comprehensive personal and domestic care. I have had the privilege of working with a diverse range of clients, from infants and young children to teenagers and adults of all ages. This breadth of experience has enriched my understanding of the unique needs of each demographic, allowing me to tailor my support effectively and compassionately. I hope to inspire positive change and help participants to navigate their journeys toward personal growth and skill development.
