EXPERIENCE:

I have been a support worker for over 4 years now and had previously been working intensively as a Teacher Aide for over ten years, within a Special Education Unit and prep program. I have a vast amount of knowledge working with students and participants that are on the spectrum. I have experience with all ages. Especially children under 10 to help develop morning and afternoon routines building clients skills to become more independent. I have worked with clients that have ASD Level 1,2,3, ADHD, GDD, Anxiety, Schizophrenia, Bipolar, Down syndrome and not limited to Cerebral Palsy. Additionally, I was a part of amazing team of people who worked closely to support families and their children who have autism spectrum disorder. I attended family-based camps with a company called, Spectrum Adventures. We ensured that these camps encompass and enable a non- judgemental, calm and fun environment, where the whole family can enjoy themselves and participate. I provide a very calm and person-centred approach, helping participants develop a deep sense of self, encouraging self-confidence with the understanding that, we are all unique, and we all learn and cope with all that life throws our way in many different ways. I understand that being on the spectrum can sometimes be a struggle to juggle. I am kind and relaxed and a fun-loving person and have the skills needed to help yourself or your family member.
